Do you feel price gouged when traveling by air? …and I’m not talking about the games played with ticket rates, luggage fees, seat selection, upgrades or priority boarding… that’s a whole ‘nother subject.
I’m talking about food and beverage costs at the airport!
We just traveled through Chicago’s Midway Airport (MDW) and needed lunch. I already thought it was crazy to pay $24 for a personal-sized, thin crust Connie’s Pizza.
The real kicker was paying $9.49 for a 1 liter bottle of Fiji water! NINE FIFTY!! Tell me, how does that cost SEVEN dollars more than ANYWHERE else you might buy this?!
Since we’re trapped consumers with no other option, somehow that justifies charging these exorbitant prices??
